We currently live in a culture that is attacking our youth in ways that are opposite of scripture. The Bible tells us that we are created in God’s image and for God’s glory. The culture of the world tells teens that everyone has a right to do whatever they want - "you do you" is a common phrase - which is not biblical. Mt Zion youth ministries exists to encourage, empower, and equip our young people to live counterculturally by remaining faithful to the teachings and practices of Jesus and submitting to Christ in all things.

Our Areas of Focus

At Mt Zion Church, we're committed to helping young people grow in their faith and make a positive impact on the world.

Discipleship

Romans 12:2 says ”Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Our youth are encouraged to dive deep into the Word, grow in their faith, and boldly walk against the grain of the world. Through Bible studies, mentorship, and practical teachings, we aim to help our youth develop a strong, lasting relationship with Christ, equipping them to be leaders and disciples in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Relationships

Proverbs 27:17 says ”As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”

We prioritize meaningful, Christ-centered relationships that uplift, encourage, and challenge our youth to live differently. In a culture that often values superficial connections, we guide our youth in cultivating deep, authentic friendships rooted in love and accountability. By building relationships within the church and beyond, our youth learn what it means to love their neighbor and share the love of Christ with others.

Service

Mark 10:45 says ”For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We believe that serving others is central to living out the Gospel. Our youth are actively involved in local and global outreach, learning that true leadership comes from humbly serving those in need. By participating in service projects and mission trips, they experience firsthand the joy of living a life that mirrors the love of Christ through selfless action.
